Job summary

LeoForce in Milton, GA is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function and drive close processes. You will oversee payables/receivables, GL, and taxes, while ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.

You will mentor a team of accountants, coordinate with external auditors, and partner with leadership on financial strategy and forecasting. A CPA and 3+ years in a managerial role are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven experience with financial reporting, taxation, auditing, corporate finance, and all other aspects of accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations to guarantee accuracy of financial statements.
• Prepare and present financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Develop and maintain the company’s internal financial controls, including cost accounting, budgets, and forecasting.
• Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
• Collaborate with the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to accelerate the close and reporting processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends and current best practices.
