Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant to work closely with the CFO of a growing, privately held Memphis-area company. This role goes beyond traditional accounting, involving operations, job costing, process improvement, and special projects.

You will own day-to-day accounting activities, collaborate with leadership, and gain exposure to multiple businesses while learning directly from an experienced CFO and team.

Qualifications

• Strong in debits and credits and month-end responsibilities.
• Ability to work closely with CFO on job costing and financial projects.
• Willingness to identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Own key day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, reconciliations, journal entries and month-end responsibilities.
• Work closely with the CFO on job costing, reporting, invoicing and other financial projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes and systems.
• Gain exposure to multiple businesses and operational leaders.
• Assist with a variety of projects outside traditional accounting.

We are conducting a confidential search for a hands‑on Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant to work closely with the CFO of a growing, privately held Memphis‑area company. This is not a narrowly defined accounting position. You’ll have tremendous exposure to the CFO and senior leadership team while getting involved across the business — accounting, operations, job costing, process improvement and special projects.
