Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Review work product, provide coaching, and promote best practices
• Assist in building scalable accounting processes and documentation

Process Improvement & Systems

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures
• Partner with IT and Finance on ERP enhancements and system optimizations

Business Partnership

• Partner with Finance, Operations, and Leadership on financial analysis and reporting
• Provide insight into variance drivers, trends, and financial risks
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience managing month‑end close and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Public accounting or SOX experience
