Job summary

LMC Landscape Partners is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting for our Houston-based partner. This in-office, full-time role reports to the Director of Accounting and emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and timely financial insights.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and the ability to manage teams across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-location or service-based environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting system experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packages, and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow visibility, and operational financial review.
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate audit support and assist with tax, fixed asset, and compliance-related activities.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff while improving processes and reporting efficiency.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives.

Position:Accounting Manager

Location: Houston, TX

LMC Landscape Partner is searching for an experiencedAccounting Managerto oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, close processes, internal controls, and team development for our Houston-based partner. This role partners closely with operational leadership to ensure accurate financials, process consistency, and strong business support across a fast-paced environment. Our Accounting Manager is a full-time, in-office position Mon-Fri, reporting to our Director of Accounting.This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing senior accountant ready to take the next step into leadership and build a long-term career with a growing organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting system experience required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to travel to branch locations throughout our Houston market
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
