Job summary

Cutter's Edge is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain controls, and support financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. This full-time, in-office role requires collaboration with operational leadership and adherence to policies.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and prior supervisory experience, with the ability to travel to Florida branches as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in multi-location or service environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience with month-end close and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger and close processes.
• Prepare, review, and present financial statements and variance analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow visibility.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate audit support and tax-related activities.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to drive business objectives.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.

Cutter's Edge is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting, close processes, internal controls, and team development. This role partners closely with operational leadership to ensure accurate financials, process consistency, and strong business support across a fast-paced environment. Our Accounting Manager is a full-time, in-office position Mon-Fri reporting to the Director of Accounting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing senior accountant ready to take the next step into leadership and build a long-term career with a growing organization. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, hands-on people manager who operates with urgency, embraces change, and can pivot quickly as the business evolves. For the right person, this role offers meaningful visibility, expanding responsibility, and the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, and month-end close
• Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packages, and variance analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow visibility, and operational financial review
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate audit support and assist with tax, fixed asset, and compliance-related activities
• Supervise and develop accounting staff while improving processes and reporting efficiency
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives
• Other responsonsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-location or service-based environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is ideal
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting system experience required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to travel to branch locations in south Florida
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
