Job summary

Trimble & Associates, Inc. seeks an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller to lead the day-to-day accounting operations and drive process improvements as the company scales.

This role collaborates with leadership, mentors staff, and ensures timely, accurate financial reporting without sacrificing work-life balance. The ideal candidate is a CPA with public accounting or industry experience, capable of managing month-end close and coordinating with auditors and tax providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
• CPA or CPA candidate.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax providers.
• Identify and implement process improvements as we grow.
• Jump in where needed — they are a team and support each other.

ACCOUNTING MANAGER / ASSISTANT CONTROLLER –

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting function while also helping improve processes as the company continues to scale.

You will work closely with leadership, mentor team members, and play a key role in keeping the financial operations accurate, timely, and efficient — without sacrificing nights and weekends.

The ideal candidate will be a CPA with public accounting and /or industry experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER / ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
