Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join our growing team. This position will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our organization by overseeing our financial procedures, auditing processes, and budget preparations. Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
• Ensuring compliance with the law and company’s policies.
• Managing journal entries, invoices, etc., and reconciling accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
• Participating in preparation for the annual audit.
• Helping in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
• Reviewing the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
• Utilizing accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
• Assisting in the streamlining of accounting procedures by researching and implementing new software applications.
• Managing and overseeing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable procedures ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on accounting and finance.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
• Exceptional leadership skills – prior management experience is NOT required.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
