CooperDouglas is seeking an Accounting Manager in West Los Angeles to own the general ledger and lead a small team. This newly created leadership role offers visibility with senior accounting leadership and a chance to shape how the function scales as the business grows.

You will oversee AP, drive month-end close, and partner with IT/finance on system enhancements. CPA is a plus and multi-entity experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 1 year in supervision.
• Multi-entity or international accounting experience; consumer products/food/bev/manufacturing a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines during close.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger activities across multiple entities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review entries, investigate variances, and clear reconciling items for audit readiness.
• Deliver month-end close on schedule and support leadership with reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable cycle: invoice processing, coding, approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
• Build and maintain accounting procedures with controls and approval workflows.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

CooperDouglas is partnering with a leading consumer products company in West Los Angeles to hire an Accounting Manager. You will own the general ledger, oversee accounts payable, and lead a small team while helping shape how the accounting function scales. Key Responsibilities

• Own general ledger activities across multiple entities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review entries, investigate variances, and clear reconciling items to keep the books accurate and audit ready.
• Deliver month-end close responsibilities on schedule and support accounting leadership with close coordination, financial reporting, and audit requests.
• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, vendor reconciliations, and payment preparation, with strong cutoff and segregation of duties.
• Build and maintain accounting procedures, review controls, and approval workflows that support a growing organization.
• Identify inefficiencies and control gaps, then improve them through standardization, automation, and smarter use of existing systems.
• Partner with IT and finance colleagues on system enhancements and integrations, including testing and data validation.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals with clear expectations, priorities, and regular feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 1+ years in a supervisory role.
• Prior experience working you MicroSoft Dynamics a big plus
• Multi-entity or international accounting, and experience in consumer products, food and beverage, manufacturing, or distribution, is a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing deadlines during close.

This is an onsite role in West Los Angeles, CA.

Compensation up to $140,000 + annual bonus + full benefits!
