What you'll do
- Lead a large-scale AR portfolio: collections, aging and DSO, cash application, unapplied cash, credit holds and escalation of at-risk balances
- Own retailer deductions end to end: promotional billbacks, chargebacks, shortages and compliance claims. Validate claims against approved promotions, analyze deduction trends and drive disputes and recoveries
- Administer the trade promotion management (TPM) system, including reporting, data quality and reconciliation of promotional deductions
- Partner with Sales, Operations and outside partners to resolve claims and improve the process
- Keep billing, pricing and payment terms accurate, working with Operations
- Oversee reconciliations for DTC and marketplace platforms (Shopify, Amazon and similar)
- Investigate EDI issues affecting orders, invoicing, deductions and payments
- Build internal controls, SOPs, approval processes and segregation of duties across order-to-cash
- Coordinate AR month-end activities: cutoff, reconciliations, accruals and reserve inputs. Support audits and partner with the GL team on accurate reporting
- Lead, coach and develop five AR Specialists, set priorities and escalation procedures, and jump in on complex issues and during peak periods
