Job summary

CooperDouglas is seeking an Accounting Manager in West Los Angeles to own the general ledger and lead a small team. This newly created leadership role offers visibility with senior accounting leadership and a chance to shape how the function scales as the business grows.

You will oversee AP, drive month-end close, and partner with IT/finance on system enhancements. CPA is a plus and multi-entity experience is valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is a plus.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 1 year in supervision.
Multi-entity or international accounting experience; consumer products/food/bev/manufacturing a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines during close.

Responsibilities

Own general ledger activities across multiple entities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Review entries, investigate variances, and clear reconciling items for audit readiness.
Deliver month-end close on schedule and support leadership with reporting.
Oversee accounts payable cycle: invoice processing, coding, approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
Build and maintain accounting procedures with controls and approval workflows.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
