We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead a VACO client’s accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will oversee the month‑end close process, manage general ledger activities, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic financial initiatives. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Lead the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies.
• Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certification requirements, office location and other geographic considerations, and other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco/Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
