Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, audit support, and process improvements. You will lead and develop a team of accounting professionals in a collaborative environment.

The role offers exposure to complex accounting matters, high visibility within the organization, and meaningful leadership responsibilities with growth opportunities. A hybrid schedule applies, with four days in office (Mon-Thu).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Corporate accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and close processes.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 842 lease accounting, intercompany accounting, and fixed assets accounting.
• Experience with business combination accounting preferred.
• Experience in a multi-entity or complex operating environment preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Hybrid schedule with 4 days in office (Monday-Thursday).

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Review and oversee complex accounting areas including ASC 842 lease accounting, fixed assets/capex, accruals, revenue share, and operating expenditures.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support financial reporting, internal controls, and audit activities.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and emerging business initiatives.
• Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in systems implementations, automation efforts, and process improvement initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• $135,000-$150,000 base salary
