Job summary

LHH in Charlotte is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a hands-on accounting team, drive monthly close, and support growth.

You will partner with Sales, Operations, and executives on budgeting and forecasting while enhancing internal controls and reporting.

This leadership role offers visibility to senior management and opportunities to implement ERP improvements and automation, contributing to strategic initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred, ERP experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Corporate leadership to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Perform financial and variance analysis across P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and capital expenditures.
• Support external audits and ensure strong internal controls.
• Drive process improvements, automation efforts, and enhanced financial reporting capabilities.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, including system implementations, acquisitions, and cost-reduction projects.

We're partnering with a growing organization seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for a key business segment and help support continued growth.

What You'll Do
