Job summary

Century Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the client’s team. The role oversees month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities, and strong cost and inventory accounting knowledge. Base salary ranges $130,000–$150,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software in manufacturing/consumer products.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee month end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
• Lead and develop accounting staff by providing training, mentorship, performance feedback, and ongoing professional development.
• Analyze operational and financial performance, including cost trends, profitability metrics, and variance reporting.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Previous experience working with ERP systems and accounting software in a manufacturing, consumer products, or production environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications

• CPA or CMA credential preferred.
• Prior experience within manufacturing, consumer products, co-packing, or other inventory intensive industries.
• Proven ability to build, coach, and lead high performing accounting teams while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements and support strategic decision making.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities with a hands on approach and strong attention to detail.
