Oversee month end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
Lead and develop accounting staff by providing training, mentorship, performance feedback, and ongoing professional development.
Analyze operational and financial performance, including cost trends, profitability metrics, and variance reporting.
Collaborate with operations and other business units to ensure accurate transaction processing, inventory management, and financial data integrity.
Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and generally accepted accounting principles.
Previous experience working with ERP systems and accounting software in a manufacturing, consumer products, or production environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
CPA or CMA credential preferred.
Prior experience within manufacturing, consumer products, co-packing, or other inventory intensive industries.
Proven ability to build, coach, and lead high performing accounting teams while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements and support strategic decision making.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities with a hands on approach and strong attention to detail.
