Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and external audit coordination in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on role requires ownership mindset and a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting experience (3+ in public accounting/audit), a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred, SAP or ERP experience, and a proven ability to drive internal

• 3+ years public accounting with audit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze results, explain variances, and maintain GL integrity.
• Coordinate external audits and deliver audit schedules.
• Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support inventory, fixed assets, accruals and balance sheet activity.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide timely financial information.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and external audit coordination within a manufacturing environment.

This is a hands‑on opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a lean organization, taking ownership, solving problems, and ensuring accurate and timely financial information. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining strong accounting practices and internal controls while supporting the business with reliable financial reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, adaptable, detail‑oriented, and resourceful, with the ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines in an environment where processes may be manual and flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other accounting documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain significant variances.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Lead the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and deliverables.
• Maintain, strengthen, and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support accounting activities related to inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide timely financial information and support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience, with audit experience strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
• Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating an annual external audit.
• CPA preferred.
• SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.

Salary Range: $115,000–$135,000 annually, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
