Job summary

Her Campus Media is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance team. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and supports daily accounting, A/P, A/R, payroll, and budget administration in a fast-paced environment.

The position is located as HCM Remote with compensation of $30.00–$35.00 per hour. It offers a flexible remote culture and opportunities to work with the finance department on month-end close and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Thorough understanding of U.S GAAP.
• Strong accounting, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet accounting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and record journal entries while maintaining the chart of accounts.
• Analyze financial data to generate accurate balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Work alongside the Accounting Manager to manage day-to-day finance tasks.
• Enter accounts payable and log vendor bills; review invoices for proper documentation and approval.
• Manage vendor onboarding, collect and track W-9 forms, and handle payment inquiries.
• Prepare and process employee expense reports; help implement internal controls in GAAP compliance.
• Contribute to special projects and additional assignments as needed.

Her Campus Media is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance team. This role will support and report directly to the Accounting Manager. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to all day-to-day finance operations and providing general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budget administration. This role will ensure key accounts are reconciled in accordance with GAAP and transactions are processed and recorded in a timely manner. We are looking for a reliable, diligent, and detail-oriented candidate who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Reporting
  • Assist with month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and record journal entries while maintaining the chart of accounts.
