Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable or general accounting preferred; entry-level considered with strong organization and analytical skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Accounting/Finance/Business preferred.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, accruals).
• Proficient with accounting software or ERP systems; intermediate Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Comfort with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication when dealing with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Process, review, and code vendor invoices to general ledger accounts and cost centers.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries.
• Record and apply customer payments (checks, ACH, wires, credit cards).
• Assist with billing discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cash.
• Submit customer invoices through online portals and billing platforms.
• Support accounting team with reconciliations, reporting, filing, and admin tasks.
• Utilize accounting systems, Excel, and AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist Controller with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
