Job summary

Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is seeking a dependable Accounting Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced office environment. The role supports day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks, requiring organization, accuracy, and reliability.

The position offers full-time hours with compensation ranging from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience, and opportunities to work with a dedicated team in Colorado Springs. Benefits include health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or similar experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
• Experience with accounting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable
• Enter and process invoices, payments, and other accounting transactions
• Reconcile accounts and assist with resolving discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Assist with credit card and expense reconciliation
• Prepare and organize reports and spreadsheets
• Assist with vendor and customer account inquiries
• Support the accounting department with month-end tasks
• Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting records
• Perform general administrative duties as needed
