Job summary

Atlas Search, a global investment firm, seeks an accounting analyst in Boston. You will book investment activity in Advent Geneva, reconcile cash between systems, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles including SEC filings.

We value strong written and oral communication, solid accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative team. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, debt investments, fund administration, or private equity/investment management.
• Familiarity with Advent Geneva and fund administration is a plus.
• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.

Job description

A global investment firm with $115B+ AUM is looking for an accounting analyst. The firm uses long-term flexible capital, data-enabled capabilities, and a collaborative culture to develop themes and offer solutions to companies across all stages of growth.

Responsibilities

• Book investment activity in the firm's internal accounting system (Advent Geneva)
• Reconcile cash activity between the internal accounting system and the fund Administrator
• Assist in oversight of the accounting functions performed by the Administrator
• Assist with all accounting responsibilities within the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
• Assist with production and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K, etc.)
• Gather information for financial statement and SOX audit requests/research questions from auditors

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of accounting experience from a public accounting, debt investments, fund administration, or another private equity or investment management firm
• Familiarity with Advent Geneva, other general ledger systems, business development companies, bank loans, and fund administration is a plus
• Professional certification preferred (CPA or equivalent)
