Job description

Contract opportunity through year-end with potential extension, requiring onsite presence in Boston four days per week. The role focuses on portfolio accounting and reconciliation activities supporting accurate investment records and reporting.

The position is responsible for researching and resolving reconciliation breaks between internal records and external banking partners, analyzing position, cash, and market value differences, and maintaining strong audit documentation. The analyst will collaborate with multiple internal teams, identify recurring reconciliation issues, and recommend process or control improvements to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of financial services experience, particularly in accounting, custody, or reconciliation functions. Strong Excel skills are required, with SQL or Python considered a plus. Candidates should have foundational knowledge of fixed income, equities, derivatives, and synthetic exposures, along with strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.

Success in this role requires attention to detail, a control-focused mindset, comfort working across global teams, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to challenge existing processes constructively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
