Compensation
$100,000 to $120,000 base (+ bonus)
What You’ll Do
- Book investment activity in Advent Geneva
- Reconcile cash activity between the internal accounting system and the funds' third-party administrator
- Assist in oversight of accounting functions performed by the administrator
- Support all accounting responsibilities across monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Assist with preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K
- Gather support for financial statement and SOX audit requests and research auditor questions
- Help prepare compliance reporting, including credit facility and BDC/RIC compliance
- Develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes
- Identify and help resolve critical accounting and reporting issues
- Work directly with external auditors, internal auditors, and service providers
What We’re Looking For
- 2 to 5 years of accounting experience in some combination of public accounting, fund administration, debt investments, or a private equity or investment management firm
- Strong understanding and application of US GAAP and industry accounting practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, able to manage multiple deliverables against time-sensitive regulatory and contractual requirements
- Proactive problem solver with the confidence to ask questions and dig into issues
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and team-oriented
Preferred
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Experience with Advent Geneva or other general ledger systems
- Exposure to business development companies
- Familiarity with bank loans or private credit
- Fund administration background
