Job summary

Origin Staffing is seeking a high-caliber Assistant VP (Manager) for a leading global investment firm in Boston. The role offers broad ownership across global accounting operations, monthly closes, and leadership-facing deliverables, with exposure to senior leaders and international partners. Hybrid work: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

CPA and Big 4 preferred; US GAAP/IFRS expertise a must. You'll oversee reporting for international subsidiaries, drive process improvements, and collaborate

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Public accounting experience required (Big 4 or large regional preferred).
• CPA highly preferred.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP and IFRS).
• Experience with international entities, consolidations, and multi-currency environments.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Workday preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for international subsidiaries across multiple regions.
• Lead monthly close processes, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Review and validate reporting packages from global service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Analyze financial results, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to support leadership decision-making.
• Partner with tax, legal, FP&A, and corporate accounting teams on global initiatives and reporting matters.
• Support formations, restructurings, and liquidations across the international entity structure.
• Monitor cash positions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment across entities.
• Drive enhancements to reporting processes, controls, and system efficiencies.
• Prepare and review materials for senior leadership and board-level presentations.
• Serve as a key point of contact across internal stakeholders and external service providers supporting the international structure.

What We’re Looking For
