The role involves recording investment activity, reconciling cash, assisting with accounting oversight, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, as well as preparing SEC filings and regulatory reports.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, private credit, debt investments, fund administration, private equity, or investment management.
  • Experience with investment accounting systems, general ledger platforms, Business Development Companies, bank loans, or third-party fund administrators is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Record investment activity within the internal accounting system.
  • Reconcile cash activity between internal records and the third party fund administrator.
  • Assist with oversight and review of accounting functions performed by the fund administrator.
  • Support accounting responsibilities throughout the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
  • Gather supporting documentation and respond to financial statement and SOX audit requests.
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory and compliance reports related to credit facilities, BDC requirements, and regulated investment company requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls and business processes.
  • Identify and help resolve accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, fund administrators, and other service providers.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should ideally have 2 to 5 years of accounting experience within public accounting, private credit, debt investments, fund administration, private equity, or investment management.

Experience with investment accounting systems, general ledger platforms, Business Development Companies, bank loans, or third party fund administrators is preferred.
