Salary

• Pay Range: $6,573 - $8,809 Monthly

• Initial pay is on step one of the range.
• EDCOE pays $873/month toward medical (prorated for less than full-time); no cost dental, life insurance, EAP, long term disability.
• $4.64/month vision.
• CalPERS retirement.

Length of Work Year: 8 hours per day, 261 days per year, 5 days per week, 12 months per year

Employment Type: Full Time

Mandatory Testing Date: Multiple choice test link will be sent after application deadline and is due by 10:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2026. Those who pass will attend practicum testing over Zoom at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

Practicum Date: Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. over Zoom

Qualifying Appraisal Interview Date: Monday, November 9, 2026

Selection Interview Date: Friday, November 13, 2026.

Job Summary

This recruitment will be used to form an eligibility list. The eligibility list will be active for a period of six months and will be utilized to fill future vacancies in this classification. Current vacancies in the SELPA Business and Internal Business Departments. Job Purpose Statement: Under general supervision performs accounting work requiring full professional competency for accounting records, budgets, analyses and reports. This position may perform accounting work related to specific internal departments and programs; specific district fiscal support/oversight; or a specific Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). Job Requirements - Qualifications: Experience: Two years of current professional experience in accounting with a demonstrated competency in accounting procedures and practices. Education: Education at a level that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. Formal postsecondary education may be accepted in lieu of experience.
