Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support the Corporate Controller’s Group. You will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls while collaborating across teams to deepen GAAP and regulatory knowledge.

Key duties include journal entries, reconciliations, close activities, and preparing SEC-related schedules. Preferred candidates hold CPA/CMA credentials and a Bachelor’s degree; strong collaboration and communication are

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience in a team environment expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
• Manage general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Provide accounting guidance to internal teams and answer GL questions.
• Prepare schedules for SEC filings, management reports, and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors and respond to inquiries.
• Research GAAP, FASB, SEC and banking regulations; assist with new standards.
• Maintain accurate records and internal controls per policies.
