Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required or three to five years of accounting experience in a financial institution.
• Familiarity with credit union or banking operations (loans, deposits, investments, regulatory reporting) preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger processes.
• Ability to analyze financial information, identify variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Copilot; experience with DNA/Prologue preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balance, track, analyze, reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with journal entries and accruals.
• Support regulatory reporting, internal statements, and management reports.
