Job summary

THE RIGHT STAFF is seeking a Temporary Accountant in Edina, MN for a fast-paced switch in the finance function. You will support day-to-day accounting, use QuickBooks extensively, and document processes to facilitate a smooth transition to a long-term solution.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of accounting experience, advanced QuickBooks skills, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative leadership-driven environment. This temporary role runs 2-4 months onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks expertise and ability to document and improve processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks.
• Assist with knowledge transfer and transition of responsibilities.
• Document accounting processes, workflows, controls, and procedures.
• Support reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close during transition.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement longer-term accounting solutions.
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of financial records during the transition.

Are You a Hands-On Accounting Professional with Advanced QuickBooks Experience and a Passion for Process Improvement?THE RIGHT STAFF is partnering with a privately held business seeking an experienced Temporary Accountant to support a critical transition within its finance function. This role will focus on knowledge transfer, process documentation, day-to-day accounting support, and helping establish a smooth path to a long-term accounting solution.
