Job summary

Accountex is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain accurate client financial reporting through reviews, analytics, and inquiries. You will handle monthly reconciliations, prepare financial statements, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

The role requires 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and strong Excel and QuickBooks skills. On-site position in Richardson, TX.

Responsibilities

Job description

This position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of client’s financial reporting, by performing reviews, analytics, inquiries etc.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Handling bookkeeping through QuickBooks and other accounting softwares for multiple companies. Perform routine review of bookkeeper.
• Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly and as needed basis.
• Communicates directly with clients via phone, email, and video chat software.
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
• For controller and CFO clients, helping with job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition.
• Assisting clients with payroll setup and use of payroll software through our 3rd party partner.
• Assist the client in the on-boarding stage, along with any clean up and catch-up accounting/bookkeeping work.
• Proactively addressing and responding to potential issues.
• Setting up and maintaining advanced forecasting and budgeting for clients.
• Help train accounting staff.
• Assist with questions from accounting staff.
• Assist on various project(s)

Education and Experience

• Bookkeeping/Accounting - 3 years (Required)
• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance - required
• QuickBooks experience – preferred

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a senior accountant
• Proficient in Microsoft excel, and experience with QuickBooks.
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to learn new online software and comfortable using technology in general, including video chat software, email, spreadsheets, apps, etc.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
• Ability to work to a strict deadline.
