The Office of the Clerk of the Illinois House of Representatives in Springfield, Illinois, is seeking an Account Technician I to join the team. The role focuses on processing and maintaining vouchers, travel reimbursements, lease obligations, and related fiscal records, with regular collaboration across district offices.

Applicants should have a high school degree or equivalent, strong Word/Outlook/Excel skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Process and maintain district office allotment vouchers for payment.
• Process and maintain travel vouchers for district offices and the Clerk’s office.
• Maintain and distribute recap sheets for each member’s district office allotment.
• Maintain district office leases and rent obligations.
• Communicate regularly with district office staff and assist with inquiries.
• Maintain and record signature authorization and revocation cards.
• Maintain and store fiscal records in an organized manner.
• Work cooperatively with office staff to complete general office duties.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
