John Costa State Farm is hiring an Account Representative to join the agency in Kearny, NJ.

This is a sales-dominant role for someone who is comfortable creating opportunities, following up consistently, and turning customer conversations into new business. We are looking for a motivated professional who enjoys working toward measurable goals and wants the opportunity to grow their income through strong production.

Spanish or Portuguese fluency is preferred, but not required.

What Your Day Could Look Like

In this role, you will spend your time connecting with prospective and existing customers, uncovering insurance needs, and helping move opportunities through the sales process.

• Making outbound calls and following up with leads
• Building relationships with prospective and existing customers
• Conducting needs-based insurance conversations
• Quoting and presenting auto, home, renters, life, and related products
• Identifying cross-sell opportunities within the existing book of business
• Asking for referrals and generating additional sales opportunities
• Overcoming objections and confidently asking for the business
• Maintaining an organized pipeline and consistent follow-up schedule
• Tracking activity and production toward agency goals
• Supporting agency growth through strong sales execution

Before You Start

This position is contingent upon becoming fully licensed prior to your first day of employment.

Candidates must obtain:

• Property & Casualty license prior to Day 1
• Life license prior to Day 1

Full guidance and support will be provided throughout the licensing process to help you complete the required licensing before your start date.
