TTI, Inc. is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative for our New York Branch in Victor, NY.

The Account Representative sells company products and services via telephone, internet, e-mail, and fax. Works in conjunction with Field Sales Representatives, Product Management, and Sales Management to increase customer penetration and sales opportunities. Success is measured by meeting defined sales objectives and performing all duties with a high ethical standard and exceeding all customer requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Sells products and services offered by TTI, including product lines, AIM programs, quality, and value-added services. The sale is attained by building relationships and tailoring the sales approach to meet and inquire on the customers' needs. This is measured through monthly sales reporting, quality objectives, and regular management reviews.
  • Provides price and delivery quotes within customer timelines by working with the branch or corporate product manager and manufacturers to get the most competitive pricing through communication by telephone, fax, and email. Success is measured by booking the business at the highest gross profit margin.
  • Processes customer orders by entering them into the sales database for quote processing and delivery schedules, requiring attention to detail, proofreading for accuracy, and maintaining quality expectations. Timeliness is critical to avoid loss of parts and lead time with factories.
  • Expands product knowledge by utilizing all resources, including product literature, factory representatives, product managers, sales managers, and other sales representatives, to discuss product options with customers and sell TTI strengths.
  • Participates in the TTI Total Quality process by following defined policies and procedures to maintain an efficient sales cycle, aiming to reduce sales errors and uphold quality to the highest level.
  • Increases customer account base by compiling a list of prospective customer leads from various sources and making cold calls.
  • Provides management with information regarding sales, marketing techniques, new products, and market strategy by preparing forecast and activity reports on account territory.
  • Participates in sales calls with Field Sales Representatives to develop sales relationships and trust with customers.
  • Processes and resolves discrepant issues identified within the job function by researching the issue and determining appropriate resolution.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Exhibits exceptional knowledge of company products and services.
  • Demonstrates persuasiveness, tenacity, and strong selling skills.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to calculate discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence proficiently and professionally.
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and make responsible decisions.
  • Possesses working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and computer systems.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word) at a basic level required.

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $79,000 to $86,000. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. TTI also offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverages, as well as paid parental leave.
