Job summary

Steel Warehouse Quad Cities LLC is seeking an Account Manager to build and maintain key customer relationships, coordinate with operations, purchasing and logistics, and drive sales growth. You will serve as the primary customer contact and ensure exceptional service across orders, pricing, and shipments.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year degree in Business or related field, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset with experience in steel or related industries.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or equivalent experience in business or related field.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the steel processing industry.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage customer relationships; act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
• Represent Steel Warehouse professionally in interactions with customers and internal teams.
• Partner with Outside Sales, Scheduling, Production, and Materials teams to address customer needs.
• Champion and manage Master Contracts, ensuring correct pricing and purchases.
• Monitor and manage customer shipments, driving just-in-time delivery and inventory management.
• Manage and reconcile customer POs and pricing changes; coordinate communications to strengthen partnerships.
• Monitor and adjust order reports (due reports, aged inventory, ready-to-ship, pricing updates).
• Understand customer order patterns and forecast effects on production and inventory.
• Document inquiries from potential new customers and pricing information.
• Receive, review, and enter customer claims; track status and coordinate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Assist with daily reports and priority communications; support data management and reporting.
