Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a defined book of business, help retain clients, and assist with new business initiatives.

The role emphasizes day-to-day account administration, policy servicing, renewals, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure accurate coverage analyses and proactive service. Hybrid work is available with some onsite presence and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Monitor and maintain activity to ensure timely completion
• Maintain frequent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues
• Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership
