Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is seeking an Account Manager to support the management of a high-volume food service program, including special events and high-end catering, at a college preparatory day school in Potomac, MD.

The role requires FOH and catering experience, strong leadership, and ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. You will coordinate events, manage staff, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate7s Degree (Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management) or 5+ years of related experience.
• Proven FOH and catering experience with a focus on quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day coaching, support, training, and guidance to ensure food quality, safety, and customer service standards.
• Support booking, planning, execution, and communication for campus catered events and off-campus events.
• Assist in menu planning for special events to align with brand and budget requirements.
• Supervise staff during catered events to ensure high-quality service and presentations.
• Monitor setup and maintenance of dining areas and food stations to meet quality standards.
• Assist leadership in supervising staff needs,Purchasing and inventory activities.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
• Foster inclusive relationships with staff and clients while managing relations with guests.

Meriwether Godsey is seeking anAccount Manager to support the management of a high-volume food service program, as well as special events and high-end catering, at an independent co-educational college preparatory day school located in Potomac, MD.

What the Account Manager will do:

• Provide day-to-day coaching, support, training, and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.
• Support booking, planning, execution, and communication related to all campus catered events, as well as any off-campus events.
• Assist in menu planning for special events to meet company brand, standards, and budget requirements.
• Supervise staff during all aspects of catered events to ensure high-quality service standards and presentations are met
• Monitor and supervise the setup and maintenance of the dining area and food stations to ensure quality standards.
• Assist leadership in supervising and assessing staff needs, supporting purchasing and inventory activities.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all staff and guests while maintaining effective client and customer-centric relationships.
• Work alongside management for all personnel decisions, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and firing.

What the Account Manager needs:

• Associate’s Degree (Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, etc.) or 5+ years of related experience
• FOH and Catering experience
• ServSafe® FPM Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Working knowledge of dining room operations; demonstrated experience in promoting and driving catering programs
• Experience using online Food Management Systems preferred
• K-12 education experience and contract dining experience preferred
• Growing knowledge of sustainable practices
• High levels of professionalism and strong leadership skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Emerging leadership skills and strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while fostering strong client and customer relationships
