Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is seeking an Account Manager to support management of a high-volume food service program, special events, and high-end catering at a Potomac, MD school. You will coach staff, plan events, and ensure safety and quality while maintaining client relationships.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and adherence to brand standards with opportunities for growth within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 5+ years of related experience.
• FOH and catering experience required.
• ServSafe FPM Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with dining room operations and promoting catering programs.
• Experience using online Food Management Systems.
• K-12 contract dining experience preferred.
• Growing knowledge of sustainable practices.
• High professionalism and strong leadership skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Emerging leadership and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day coaching, support, training, and guidance to meet food quality, safety, and service standards.
• Assist in booking, planning, execution, and communication for campus catered events and off-campus events.
• Assist in menu planning for special events within brand, standards, and budget.
• Supervise staff during catered events to ensure high-quality service and presentation.
• Monitor setup and maintenance of dining area and stations to meet quality standards.
• Assist leadership in supervising staff needs, purchasing, and inventory activities.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
• Foster an inclusive environment and strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with management on recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and firing.
