Ponderosa Insurance Agency, a division of Repwest Insurance and part of the U-Haul family, seeks an Account Manager to grow Safestor Tenant Insurance in its regional territory. This onsite role is located at our corporate campus in Phoenix, AZ.

You will retain client relationships, promote product growth, and provide proactive service while collaborating with local and national teams. A bachelor’s degree and insurance experience are preferred, with travel up to 30% and quarterly bonus

This is a fully onsite position located at our corporate campus in Phoenix, AZ.

Since 1973, Ponderosa Insurance Agency, a division of Repwest Insurance, has been a specialist in self-storage insurance. Established by experts from both the self-storage and insurance industries, we understand what it takes to protect both your self-storage facility and tenants. Ponderosa Insurance is a part of the U-Haul Holding Co family of companies and sister company to U-Haul International. Under the direction of the Manager of Underwriting and Marketing, the Account Manager will proactively cultivate current client relationships to grow Safestor Tenant Insurance participation in their regional territory. The account manager will work with local and national team members to consult and service Safestor clients within the self-storage industry. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. An account manager should have the ability to work well in a team environment and feel comfortable working in a feedback culture.

Responsibilities

• Retain and grow current client relationships
• Verbally communicate and promote product growth with new and existing clients
• Actively seek to understand each customer’s needs and goals through consistent verbal contact
• Secure customer rapport through genuine and exceptionally responsive interactions
• Proactive customer service with current clients
• Become an expert in the competitive environment and be able to communicate regarding competitive offerings while effectively positioning Safestor as the best Insurance choice for assigned self-storage locations

Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience in account management (insurance focused)
• Ability to achieve goals and determine priorities
• Organized with strong time management
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (Typically during Spring and Fall)
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined and provide prompt follow-up to all customer inquiries
• Strong presentation and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Practical knowledge of Salesforce

Education/Training

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, business management or equivalent experience is preferred
• Insurance experience preferred
