Job summary

Under the direction of the Manager of Underwriting and Marketing, the Account Manager will proactively cultivate current client relationships to grow Safestor Tenant Insurance participation in their regional territory. This is a fully onsite role at our Phoenix campus, requiring strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include retaining clients, promoting product growth, understanding customer needs, and maintaining prompt follow-up.

This is a fully onsite position located at our corporate campus in Phoenix, AZ.

Under the direction of the Manager of Underwriting and Marketing, the Account Manager will proactively cultivate current client relationships to grow Safestor Tenant Insurance participation in their regional territory. The account manager will work with local and national team members to consult and service Safestor clients within the self-storage industry. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. An account manager should have the ability to work well in a team environment and feel comfortable working in a feedback culture.

Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience in account management (insurance focused)
• Ability to achieve goals and determine priorities
• Organized with strong time management
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (Typically during Spring and Fall)
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined and provide prompt follow-up to all customer inquiries
• Strong presentation and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Practical knowledge of Salesforce

Education/Training

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, business management or equivalent experience is preferred
• Insurance experience preferred

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need.
