Role Description
The primary responsibility for the Account Manager position is to manage and develop new customers for a specialty chemical service and distribution company.The individual will be assigned a territory and will have responsibility for the development of new business and the maintenance of existing business within their defined geography.Management of the territory is aligned with the sales and marketing plan that has been developed.The position involves working closely with Customer Service, Technical Service, and Operations personnel, along with other members of the Sales Team, to meet customer needs and grow the business profitably.
Qualifications
An individual must be a self-starter who enjoys the continuous development of new customers through cold calling. Strong selling skills, including a demonstrated ability to close new sales, are essential.The following key attributes are preferred:
