Job description

Outside Sales Account Manager - Industrial Component Service and Repair

In this role, you will manage the overall relationship with customers and maximize sales within your assigned territory. This is a great opportunity for a driven salesperson to maintain an existing customer base while developing new customers.

Ideally, this role will be home-based in Western North Carolina — Charlotte, Lenoir, Statesville, or Asheville.

Essential Functions
  • Work with your manager to create a sales plan to develop new customers and maintain existing accounts.
  • Manage territory, projected sales, and build/maintain business relationships.
  • Conduct full-cycle prospecting activities, including lead qualification, cold calling, and sales presentations.
  • Collaborate with customer service and technical support teams to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Utilize tools, resources, and CRM to plan and manage time and territory.
Experience, Education, and Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4-year degree in sales, marketing, or engineering, or a 2-year technical degree in an industrial discipline, mechanics, or related field is preferred.
  • Fluid Power Certification is preferred but not required.
  • At least 2 years of industrial sales experience, with preference for experience in electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos, and mechanical components.
  • Experience with rebuilding and repairing hydraulic equipment for mobile and industrial machinery is a plus.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs at times.
