Job summary

PS Business Management LLC in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Account Manager to oversee the day-to-day affairs of assigned clients and entities, coordinating personal, financial, and tour-related matters while supervising a small staff of Associates. You will manage client relationships, lead accounting activities (G/L, AP/AR, payroll), review royalty statements, and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

Strong MS Outlook/Excel skills, QuickBooks or Xero experience, and a proven leadership track

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Entertainment/Music Business Management.
• Tour management with budgets, accounting, and reconciliation.
• Degree in Accounting or Music Industry Studies preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, cash projections, and financial statements.
• Leadership experience managing staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Proficient in Outlook and Excel; experience with QuickBooks/Xero.
• Confidentiality and professionalism required.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for multiple clients on day-to-day issues and follow-up.
• Manage staff and delegate tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Tour accounting including budget preparation and final accounting review.
• Review royalty statements for clients.
• Monitor bank balances, statements, and approve transfers.
• Monitor insurance renewals and claims.
• Provide financial planning and cash projections.
• Liaise with investment advisors and international tax accountants.
• Assist with home and car purchases for clients.
• Provide data to Tax Team for Returns preparation.
• Prepare client presentations for review.
• Evaluate team performance and provide mentorship.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

We are a Business Management firm that manages finances for musicians, producers, professional athletes, and other high-profile clients. We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to fill the position of Account Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the day-to-day business, personal and financial affairs of assigned clients and entities. The Account Manager will supervise a small staff of Associates.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Entertainment/Music Business Management is required
• Tour Management – experience with budgets, accounting, and reconciliation – is required
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Music Industry Studies is highly favored
• Comprehensive knowledge of the general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, bank reconciliations, cash projections, and financial statements + ability to ensure all are booked in a timely manner is required
• Prior experience in a Lead, Senior or Management role managing personnel is required
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be comfortable multi-tasking in a high-volume environment
• Must be comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups (senior management and clients)
• Must possess a commitment to professionalism, timeliness and accuracy
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel and experience with QuickBooks/ Xero is required
• Familiarity with Business Management banking platforms is required
• Must maintain confidentiality in all aspects of position

• Prepare presentations for client review
• Evaluate performance of team members; provide training, guidance, and mentorship
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Base Salary: $90-125k, commensurate with experience.
