Job description

With general direction, sell and service eyewear products by managing existing accounts and developing new prospects across various industries. Exercise a broad knowledge of the organization's services, products, and marketing techniques to achieve market share growth and operational goals.

Develop creative sales strategies to contact prospects, create opportunities, and increase revenue.

Cultivate and develop strong business relationships with customers and prospects.

Represent the eyewear line of business in all sales activities to the customer base.

Work independently, leveraging team and partner support to exceed sales quotas and achieve balanced product line results.

Apply innovative ideas and solutions to address customers' business problems by understanding their needs.

Maintain current knowledge of products and services to provide accurate information.

Identify and communicate future customer requirements and feedback to relevant divisions.

Act as liaison between VSP departments and customers to ensure service levels meet expectations. Collaborate with marketing and product development to address customer needs and analyze market data.

Utilize sales automation systems for inquiries, record-keeping, and reporting.

Job Specifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Three+ years of sales experience with account management, servicing, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
  3. Results-driven with strong planning, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  4. Proven track record of meeting sales/revenue goals with small to medium accounts.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  6. Experience in developing B2B relationships.
  7. Highly adaptable, resilient, and open to new ideas.
  8. Resourceful team player with strong relationship-building skills.
  9. Problem-solver capable of generating workable solutions.
  10. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple sales opportunities effectively.
  11. Excellent listening and communication skills.
  12. Self-motivated with initiative and minimal supervision.
  13. Must travel over 50% of the time.
  14. Clean driving record.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in the Sporting Goods retail market.
  • Knowledge of the sunglass industry.
