Job summary

Salem Interactive Media seeks an exceptional National Media Strategist to join our National Political & Government Sales team. This Account Executive role, based in Washington, DC, focuses on political and government sales and meeting monthly targets.

You will leverage an established network with political publishers and DC think tanks to build multimedia campaigns, using proven digital sales strategies and compelling proposals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of successful media sales experience across multiple platforms (publisher sites, radio, OTT, digital, audio, and events)
• 3–5 years of political media sales experience within a high-performing sales organization
• 3–5 years of experience selling national campaigns, in addition to local/state markets
• 2–3 years of experience with DC-based political publisher sites
• 1–2 years of government media sales experience
• Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding budget, including new business developed through prospecting and cold outreach
• Proven digital marketing expertise and the ability to develop creative solutions that achieve client objectives
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Unwavering integrity, a commitment to excellence, and sound judgment

Overview

Salem Media is looking for an exceptional sales professional to join our National Political & Government Sales team as a National Media Strategist. This Account Executive role with Salem Political Solutions in Washington, DC, focuses primarily on political and government sales. The position is responsible for meeting monthly sales goals. Salem Political Solutions partners with political and digital advertising agencies, DC think tanks, issue and advocacy groups, and public affairs firms to build successful multimedia advertising campaigns. The right candidate knows the political publisher industry well and has deep experience in digital sales.

This is a hybrid position.

Compensation

$75,000 - $125,000 per year and includes generous commission and bonus-based package
