Acts as an agent of Producer assigned accounts, including servicing and/or solicitation activities. Manages book of business and directs the work of a service team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manages all client required services and maintains client relationship with minimal input from Producers;
  2. Manages large book of business through direction of employees on service team;
  3. Receives and develops new business leads from Producers or identifies and develops cross-sell opportunities;
  4. Acts as direct point of contact for client from time of lead;
  5. Acts as the lead representative to an assigned book-of-business;
  6. Participates in team selling process including finalist interviews and RFP responses;
  7. Prepares and presents to client renewal analysis;
  8. Sells renewal business to existing clients and where applicable, sells additional lines of coverage;
  9. Promotes to clients other services offered by our agency by way of preparing Producer Service Proposals;
  10. Provides analysis and recommendations concerning client's existing coverages;
  11. Selects carriers for solicitation and negotiates with carriers for benefit and premium considerations;
  12. Receives and responds to client inquiries including benefit and claim questions and issues;
  13. Reviews client coverage contracts and amendments for accuracy;
  14. Manages and negotiates third party vendor relationships and contracts on behalf of the client;
  15. Serves as technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues;
  16. Provides mentoring and coaching to departmental staff;
  17. Creates new client sales opportunities;
  18. Creates motivational action plans for personnel development in conjunction with defined performance goals;
  19. Collection of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing date;
  20. Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ten (10) or more years of related work experience

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

Valid Insurance License

SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good problem solving and time management skills

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork

Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
