About Us
We are a 75+ year old, family-owned apparel business with a portfolio of well-loved kids' brands. We combine the stability and industry relationships of a long-established company with the energy of a growing, entrepreneurial team. Our offices are located near Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan.
The Role
We're looking for a motivated, go-getter Account Executive (Kids) to help build and expand our presence across specialty and boutique wholesale accounts for multiple brands. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in kids apparel, with a focus on fine tailoring, dresswear, outerwear, and sportswear, while supporting the broader sales team and contributing to category initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and grow a portfolio of specialty and boutique wholesale accounts across multiple brands, working toward revenue and sales targets.
- Manage outside sales reps in key territories — communicate priorities, share line information, and track their performance.
- Help identify and develop new business opportunities within the kids fine tailoring, dresswear, outerwear, and sportswear categories.
- Build relationships with buyers and key contacts at current and prospective accounts.
- Present seasonal lines and assortments to buyers and execute account strategies in partnership with internal teams.
- Attend, manage, and set up for trade shows, including booth setup, appointment scheduling, and post-show follow-up.
- Manage outside sales reps, getting ready for selling seasons, tracking performance, and attending markets.
- Organize, manage, and maintain the showroom and salesman samples for both the internal sales team and outside reps.
- Gather key account information, including payment and credit details, for new and existing clients, and liaise with logistics to get orders shipped out on time.
- Provide general support to the sales team — line sheets, samples, order entry follow-up, and presentations.
- Track in-season performance at the account and style level; flag risks and opportunities and help recommend next steps.
- Maintain weekly sales tracking and analyze sell-through data to surface trends and insights.
- Support sales forecasting and ATS inventory management in collaboration with senior management and planning.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitive activity to contribute to sales planning conversations.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in apparel wholesale sales or a related field; kids dresswear, outerwear, tailoring, or sportswear a plus.
- Experience in kidswear and working kids trade shows is a serious plus.
- Comfortable showing a line and presenting to buyers, in the showroom, at trade shows, and virtually.
- A self-starter who takes initiative and is excited by the challenge of building something.
- Comfortable working with data — familiar with Excel basics (pivot tables, v-lookups) and eager to develop stronger analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of retail math and sales reporting; willing to learn more on the job.
- Comfortable working within an ERP system; NuORDER experience a plus.
- Quick learner who can pick up new systems and tools with minimal ramp time.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communicator and relationship-builder — outgoing, collaborative, and team-oriented.
- A true team player with a positive attitude who is willing to help out coworkers when needed.
- Some travel required.
