Job summary

Real Chemistry is seeking an Account Director to lead cross-functional teams delivering medical animation, visualisation, and digital tools for oncology, psychiatry, or eye health accounts. The role involves managing client strategy, budgets, and proposals while mentoring junior staff and driving new business activity.

The position is UK-based with working relationships to a US-dominated team, offering flexible hybrid/remote arrangements and opportunities to grow within a global healthcare

Qualifications

• Already working as Account Director in a medical/health advertising or commercial med comms agency.
• Experience in oncology, psychiatry, or eye health is advantageous.
• Experience with brand guidelines and understanding medical and commercial pharma parts.
• Cross-collaborating with other teams (production, scientific strategy, and project managers) to deliver client work.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional team for delivery of projects including medical animation and visualisation, digital tools, and congress booth experiences.
• Works on scientific visualisation and experiential accounts in proactive partnership with other Real Chemistry teams.
• Effectively anticipates client needs; acts on solutions with proper planning, informing, and delegation.
• Leads on account finances, including annual and quarterly forecasts, developing proposals, responding to budget/scope changes, and updating finance teams.
• Supports with mentoring and training of junior team members.
• Identifies areas for new business growth within assigned accounts and other areas.
• Supports with new business activities, including proposal development, responding to RFPs and pitching.
