Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is a remote digital agency delivering paid media, SEO, CRO and web services for marketing-led brands. As Account Director you will own an established book of recurring clients and ensure their growth.

You will work with our sales team to win new clients, keep them, and grow the account through upsells, renewals, and strategic guidance, while ensuring a single, clear voice across strategists and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in agency account management across marketing, digital, or advertising.
• Proven track record of retaining clients and growing revenue with measurable results.
• Comfortably carrying a quota and discussing performance.
• Strong, clear communication with senior client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a portfolio of agency clients.
• Identify and close upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
• Hit and exceed a seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.
• Collaborate with strategists and delivery teams to present a single client voice.

Blacksmith Agency is a remote digital agency running paid media, SEO, CRO and web for marketing-led brands. As Account Director you own an established book of recurring agency clients. Our sales team wins new clients; you keep them and grow them.

What You Will Own

• Retention across your book: the relationship, the renewal and the early warning when an account is drifting.
• Upsells and expansion: finding the next project inside each client and selling it.
• A seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.
• Working with the strategists and delivery team who run the work, so the client hears one clear voice.

What You Need

• Agency account management experience. Marketing, digital, creative or advertising agency. This is a must.
• A record of keeping clients and selling them more work, with numbers you can walk us through.
• Comfort carrying a quota.
• Clear, calm communication with senior client stakeholders.

Base plus commission, split 50/50.
