Job summary

Oliver Gospel Mission Inc. is seeking a Program Access & Intake Coordinator to act as the central coordination point for program access across our Columbia, SC campus. You will manage inquiries, intake, eligibility, and warm handoffs while aligning with program requirements and community resources.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed communication, data integrity, and cross-team collaboration to ensure timely, respectful access to services. Travel to facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, sociology, public health, ministry, or closely related field; equivalent may be considered with HR approval.
• Minimum two (2) years of intake/admissions or related social-services experience.
• Knowledge of homelessness, poverty, addiction/recovery, mental/behavioral health, shelters, and community resources.
• Ability to engage people from varied backgrounds with dignity and communicate clearly in person, by phone, virtually, and in writing.
• Strong administrative, organizational, research, problem-solving, data-quality and follow-through skills.
• Ability to apply criteria consistently and escalate appropriately within scope.
• Ability to work independently while aligning with leadership and teams.
• Proficiency with office tech and HMIS or similar systems; willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel to Oliver Gospel facilities and approved off-site locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary coordination point for individuals seeking services and internal teams seeking access to Oliver Gospel programs.
• Respond to inquiries via telephone, voicemail, email, virtual, in-person, and approved off-site access.
• Explain Oliver Gospel's mission, programs, eligibility, steps, and next actions clearly.
• Apply approved access and eligibility criteria consistently across facilities while respecting program differences.
• Maintain access standards and tools used by Residential Support for front-desk and intake processes.
• Help reduce barriers, avoid repetitive questioning, and ensure coordinated handoffs.
• Keep knowledge current on programs, capacity, referrals, and community resources.
