Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD seeks an Access Coordinator to be the first contact for admissions and referrals, collecting data to determine level of care and providing clinical triage. You will coordinate admissions and refer to internal services or external providers as needed.

The role involves supporting a multi-disciplinary team, actively marketing Sheppard Pratt programs, and handling documentation for admissions and referrals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• At least 1 year of progressively more responsible clinical experience.
• Must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of IDX and/or Sunrise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact to patients, families, agencies, and referrers for admissions/referrals.
• Collect and evaluate psychiatric, demographic and insurance data to determine level of care.
• Provide clinical triage and referrals to appropriate Sheppard Pratt services or external providers.
• Coordinate inpatient admissions when assigned.
