Job summary

The Sheppard Pratt Careers in Towson, MD seeks an Access Coordinator to be the first contact for admissions inquiries, collecting psychiatry, demographic and insurance data to determine level of care. The role includes clinical triage, referrals to internal services or external resources, and, depending on assignment, primary coordination of inpatient admissions.

You will actively market services to external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of progressively more responsible clinical experience.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of IDX and/or Sunrise preferred.

Responsibilities

Description

This position is M-F 3:30pm-12am with rotating weekends. The Access Coordinator serves as the first point of contact to patients, their families/representatives, outside agencies, and referrers to respond to inquiries for admission or referral. Collects and evaluates psychiatric, demographic and insurance data and determines the appropriate level of care needed.

• Collect and evaluate psychiatric, demographic and insurance data and determine the appropriate level of care needed
• Provide clinical triage and referral to appropriate Sheppard Pratt services or referral to external services and depending on specific assignment, have primary responsibility for coordination of inpatient admissions
• Actively market Sheppard Pratt programs and services to internal and external groups
• Complete written and on-line documentation requirements for admissions and referrals

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
